Is it really free?

Yes. Every one of the 169 shapes, all 65 fonts, any artwork you upload, and the STL at the end. No account, no watermark, no credit balance.

Do I need to make an account?

No. There is nothing to sign up for. Your design never reaches a server, so there is nothing for an account to attach to.

What file do I get?

A binary STL, which is what every slicer opens. One file for a cutter, two if you ask for a matching cutter and stamp.

Will it work on my printer?

If it has a 0.4 mm nozzle, yes. Everything is built around that, because it is what almost everyone has. The blade is 0.8 mm at the base tapering to 0.4 mm at the edge, so it is two nozzle widths where it needs strength and one where it needs to cut. Start with the settings that work on almost any printer.

The short answer is that they are fine for cutting dough, and that is a different question from whether they are food safe containers. Printed layers have grooves that hold moisture, so they are hand wash only and they should not be treated as something you store food in. Can I sell the biscuits, or the cutters?

Yes to both. The shapes here are drawn as geometry rather than traced from anybody else's model, so there is no licence and no attribution to worry about. Can you sell 3D printed cookie cutters goes through the parts that are actually worth being careful about.

What size should I make it?

Between 50 and 75 mm for party biscuits, 75 to 100 mm if it is the centrepiece. Size also decides what detail can survive, which catches people out, so what size should a cookie cutter be covers both together.

Why did the letters break off my stamp?

Because they were thinner than your nozzle could lay down. Script fonts have hairlines: a name at 75 mm in a calligraphy face is often under 0.6 mm at its thinnest, and 0.4 mm is about the limit. This tool measures the thinnest line before you print and offers to fix it, either by making it bigger or by thickening the strokes. Text stamps that actually read has the rest.

PLA or PETG?

PLA for almost everyone. It prints more easily, holds fine detail better, and a cookie cutter never gets hot. PETG is worth it if the cutter will be washed often in hot water. The comparison is in PLA or PETG.

My cutter squashes the dough instead of cutting it

Usually the dough, not the cutter. Chill it for half an hour and try again. If that does not fix it, the blade is probably too blunt or too thick, and when a cutter will not cut works through the rest in order.

What is the difference between a cutter and a stamp?

A cutter cuts through the dough. A stamp presses detail into the surface without cutting through. A matching set is both, sized to each other, which is how most decorated biscuits are actually made. Cutter or stamp covers what changes between them.
